The first net was held on Saturday June 4 2005, or Sunday June 5 2005 depending on which time zone you were in. As I was unable to log in, due to attending NZART conference at that time, the honour of being the first net controller goes to Connie KC8SLQ. Since then I have been net controller missing only the odd net due to other commitments. Meaning I was most likely at an NZART Annual Conference

The biggest one to date had 17 check-ins and a more recent one had 15 check-ins. As always it is interesting to hear what is happening in such far away places, even the local weather updates can prove intersting and diverse. From -45c and snowing in Canada to the warmer 40c plus of a southern Summer.
